I like the 980, but it is a little large for my tastes. Otherwise the 890 is a clear winner for me as a crestron one way handheld remote. I am going to try the min repeat 6 thing to see if that alleviates the problem. I recently just updated my 900 to an 890 at home, and I noticed the 'firm' presses needed as well. > Has anyone came up with a new hack for the new software for the MX900? Put some codes on buttons, drop in a MT1000, test everything. > Ive dropped them in but get nothing I can see it in toolbox pressing join 0001 but nothing I have an old MX900 and it works fine Just cant get it to work with the new URC software Also note there's a bunch of bad codes in their libraries for the Crestron RF joins so you have to test every one and work around the ones that don't work.never again. You have to do this for every single button. Finally, you have to be sure that 'minimum repeats when pressed' is set to 6 in the macro programming. In order to get RF to work, be sure you've defined a URC RF base station (I had MRF-260) and then be sure for each device under the 'RF Control' tab in programming to have 'RF' selected in the drop down, and pick the MRF gateway. I don't know if this helps.mine were the MX-1200, and I had to use URC's 'Complete Control Program'. I recently had to do some URC remotes with Crestron.
